Brushstrokes & Bodywork: Embracing a New Path

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by beauty — especially the kind that often goes unnoticed. Through The Robyn’s Nest Designs, I’ve spent years capturing moments of wonder through photography, art, and design. My creative work has always been about helping people pause, reflect, and reconnect with the magic of the world around them.

For years, I felt a gentle pull toward the healing arts — something ancient and familiar — and over the past year, that calling became impossible to ignore.

Following the Call to Heal

While I love creating and sharing art, I've always felt a deeper pull toward healing work—something more hands-on, more intimate, more rooted in the body. That calling led me to enroll in massage therapy school at Oz School of Massage at KG Ranch, where I’m now immersed in the world of anatomy, wellness, and energy. It’s a whole new way of engaging with people — one that blends the intuitive creativity I’ve always relied on with the science and spirit of holistic wellness.

Along this journey, I’ve been incredibly blessed to meet people who share a similar vision for healing and transformation. I've found inspiring mentors who lead with wisdom, heart, and deep experience, and I've connected with a group of soul sisters—kindred spirits who are walking their own healing paths. Together, we've created a community rooted in mutual support, curiosity, and sacred purpose. Their presence has reminded me that this path isn’t just mine — It’s a beautiful thread in a growing tapestry of people embracing the innate wisdom of healing touch, energetic alignment, and embodied presence

Introducing StarShine

This shift gave birth to StarShine — my new venture focused on massage therapy and integrative healing. Through StarShine, I hope to offer a range of services like Swedish massage, Ashiatsu, lymphatic focus, aromatherapy, polarity therapy, and who knows what else catches my interest. My aim is to create a safe, peaceful space where you can come back home to yourself—body, mind, and spirit.

It’s not just about easing tension or treating symptoms. It’s about helping people remember their own light.

Where Art and Healing Intersect

Even though I will be spending less time behind the camera or at the easel, my work as an artist still informs everything I do. I want my massage work to be infused with the same sense of care, intention, and reverence for beauty that guided my art. Whether I’m holding a lens or holding space, my purpose remains the same: to inspire, foster connection, and celebrate the wonder of being alive.

What’s Next

I’m still learning, growing, and evolving — both as a soon-to-be therapist and as a human. As I continue this journey, I hope to weave together all the threads of my creative and healing passions in a way that serves others deeply and meaningfully. Art will always remain a vital part of who I am. I’m still painting, photographing, and creating—just now with an expanded sense of purpose. Whether through a brushstroke or a healing session, my goal is the same: to inspire connection, reflection, and a sense of beauty in the everyday.

If you’d like to follow along with @Starshine.wellness, receive a student massage session, or just connect, I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for being part of my journey.

With love and light,

Robyn
